Honey Garlic Shrimp
Ingredients:
⅓ cup Honey
¼ cup Soy Sauce
1 tbsp Minced Garlic
1 tsp Fresh Ginger, minced
1 lb Medium Cooked Shrimp, peeled & deveined
2 tsp Olive Oil
Green Onion, chopped, for garnish (Optional)
Directions:
1Whisk honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger together in a medium bowl.
2Place shrimp in a large press and seal bag or bowl-. Pour half the marinade mixture on top, shake or stir, then refrigerate (for 15 minutes up to 12 hours). Cover and refrigerate remaining marinade for step 3.
3Heat olive oil in skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp (discard used marinade). Cook shrimp on one side until pink, about a minute. Then flip and pour remaining marinade over shrimp and cook through, about 1 minute more.
4Serve cooked shrimp in sauce with a garnish of green onion. Excellent on brown rice with steamed veggies on the side.
Notes: remove shrimp tail or leave it on--your preference! Fresh shrimp is recommended, but frozen works too. If using frozen cooked shrimp, thaw, marinate, and cook as directed.
